European 8-in-1
If the European 6-in-1 style no longer interests or challenges you, then perhaps you are ready for the European 8-in-1 weave. Shown here is a small sheet of 8-in-1 weave done in 17 gauge aliminum in 3/8" links (once again, much thinner that I'd use for an actual piece, but it allows the weave to be easily seen).
Great care should be taken if you plan to make a large piece using this weave. Unless you use the lightest of materials (e.g. aluminum), your finished piece will be quite heavy. Instead, most who use this densest of weaves, usually integrate a small piece into a much larger project using some other weave.
